Opportunities From: Cultivate Food Rescue

This shift takes place in a REFRIGERATED building, volunteers will be provided with warm gear. Volunteers will work under the supervision of staff to prepare the orders of bagged meals and prepare the shipment for delivery. Other responsibilities may include cleaning after the volunteer shift and other tasks as needed.

You will work with other volunteers under the supervision of the Shift Lead to distribute meals. This takes place in a REFRIGERATED building, volunteers will be provided with warm gear if needed. Volunteers need to be able to work as a team and with accuracy to be successful. Other assigned tasks may include cleaning after the shift, sorting food, and other projects as needed.

You will work with other volunteers under the supervision of the Volunteer Shift Lead to package meals. Volunteers will work together in an assembly line method to fill trays with food, seal trays, stack finished meals, and other tasks to support the process.

Volunteers work together to package meals in individual trays to help food insecure neighbors in our community. Other responsibilities may include preparing food items for packaging, applying labels to food trays, cleaning after the volunteer shift, and other tasks as needed.

The nutritious meals made by volunteers will feed food insecure children and neighbors in our community supported by our Backpack Program.

Whether you are a professional chef or just enjoy spending time in the kitchen, Chef April welcomes any volunteers who are comfortable picking up a knife or stirring a pot. Help us prepare the food for our Backpack Program that feeds hungry children in our community. Our kitchen volunteers typically help in morning and afternoon shifts during the week.

Kitchen Assistants volunteer their time processing food we rescue and turning raw ingredients into meals for the Backpack Program. You will help feed food insecure individuals in our community.

Volunteers will work as a team to sort frozen meals and secure them in a bag for distribution. The bagged meals are sent to our school partners to help feed over 1,500 students every weekend! Other responsibilities may include applying labels to food trays, cleaning after the volunteer shift, and other tasks as needed.

Volunteers assist with rescuing food in our community to support our Cultivate Cares Food Network program. Rescue Food Drivers help our team pick up and deliver rescued food. Volunteers may assist loading/unloading inventory, driving to and from food rescue sites, and other projects as needed. This role may require lifting, bending, and working in walk-in coolers or sub-zero freezers. You are a food rescue hero!
